Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GDD.studio ("the Service"), operated by GDD.studio ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GDD.studio is a web-based application that allows users to create, structure, and export Game Design Documents (GDDs). The Service includes features such as genre templates, semantic element linking, AI-assisted brainstorming, and document export capabilities.

3. Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans

The Service offers the following plans:

• Free: Limited to 2 projects, 3 basic templates, watermarked PDF exports, and 3 AI brainstorm calls per day.
• Pro (9 EUR/month): Unlimited projects, all templates including custom, full PDF exports, and unlimited AI brainstorming.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create using the Service, including game design documents, elements, assets, and any other materials ("Your Content").

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use Your Content for any other purpose.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
• Use automated means to access the Service without our express permission
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without authorization

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by GDD.studio and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The templates and tools provided are licensed for your use within the Service only.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GDD.studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to access the Service ceases immediately
• We will retain Your Content for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted
• You may export Your Content before termination using the available export features

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Belgium.
